How fast do you respond to an emergency?
Requests from this page go straight to the top of my inbox with absolute priority. My goal is an initial response in under 30 minutes (during business hours) to start working immediately.
What are the most common errors that take a site down?
There are various issues that can block access to your site, but these are the most frequent cases handled by my recovery service:
Server Errors (500 & 503): Usually caused by hosting resource limits or corrupt server configurations.
Database Issues: The “Error establishing a database connection” means your site can’t read its own content.
White Screen of Death (WSoD): Typical after a WordPress update where a plugin or theme causes a critical PHP conflict.
SSL & Security Errors: When browsers block entry with a “Connection is not private” warning due to expired certificates or external attacks.
Redirect Loops: The “Too many redirects” error, where the site enters an infinite cycle and never loads.
What if you can’t fix the error?
If I determine the problem is out of my control (e.g., a massive data centre outage) or requires a larger-scale intervention, I will tell you immediately. I only charge for real solutions or deep technical diagnoses.
Do you fix any type of website?
I specialise in WordPress and WooCommerce, as well as server and domain configurations. If your site uses a different technology, consult me first and I will be honest about whether I can help.
How much does an emergency repair cost?
Emergency interventions have a fixed diagnostic fee that covers the first hour of work. Most common errors are resolved within this timeframe. If more time is needed, I will provide a quote before proceeding.
Will my website go back to exactly how it was?
My priority is to restore the site to its most recent functional state. As long as you have a backup (or we can rescue files from the server), we will work to ensure no data is lost.
Do you need my passwords?
Yes. To diagnose and fix the fault, I will need administrative access to WordPress and, in severe cases, your hosting or FTP. Your credentials are treated with total confidentiality, and I always recommend changing them once the issue is resolved for your peace of mind.
What if the error was my fault?
To err is human. I am not here to judge; I’m here to fix. Whether it’s a code error, a bad configuration, or an accidental deletion, we focus on the solution, not the blame.
My site was hacked; can you clean the malicious code?
Yes. I scan your files, remove the malware, clean the database, and—most importantly—patch the security hole they used so it doesn’t happen again the next day.
Does this include future maintenance?
Emergency repair is a one-off “rescue” intervention. Once your site is safe, I will offer a web maintenance plan so you never find yourself in this situation again. Prevention is always cheaper than a cure in the middle of a crisis.
Do you work weekends or holidays?
Websites don’t follow calendars and usually break at the worst time. My emergency service has a preferential response time. If you write to me out of hours, I will respond as soon as I see the alert, giving you priority over any non-urgent projects.
What if my website has been completely deleted?
The first thing I’ll do is contact your hosting provider to attempt a server-side backup restoration. In 90% of cases, servers keep backups of the last few days. If a copy exists, we will recover it.
